UNIVERSAL STUDIOS EXECUTIVE

Another Big Get!

Finally hooked us a big fish from Universal Studios.  Paul Meena is the former Vice President and General Manager of the  Universal Studios Florida Production Group, but he earned his stripes the hard way.  As a young man in LA, Paul would take any freelance gig he could get in the production business – grip, electric, transportation, even craft service.

Paul did it all, and eventually latched on as a PA at Universal Studios.  After working his way up to Production Manager, he decided to go freelance again, and his first job was working a show for Universal at their brand new studios in Orlando!  Next thing you know, he’s head of his own production department there, and well, you know where he ended up.

It was great to meet him, and to hear his stories, as a guy with 35 years in the production industry, and someone who was there at Universal Studios Orlando from the very start.  Thanks again Paul, for talking with us!
