COSTUME DESIGNER
I’D GO BACK
Producer, costume designer, set decorator, even music coordinator, Melva has done it all over the course of the past 35 years. Though originally from Southern California, she didn’t really get her start in the business until she moved to Orlando in the 1990s.
Like many others, she eventually moved to the greener pastures in Atlanta, and with that perspective, Melva had a lot to say about the film incentives in Georgia and the lack of same in Florida.
She was a pioneer in Women in Film in Central Florida, and worked at both Disney’s and at Universal’s studios. And such a delight! That was a fun interview. Thanks, Melva.
